THIS STORY IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH WEAK STOMACHS OR WHO ARE EASILY TRIGGERED!!

15th - #lgbtqia

16 years old Melinda moved to L.A. The City of Angels. Daytime, her activities consist of school, family and friends. At night, however, she takes upon her alter ego, a crime fighting angellic figure, nicknamed Featherlight.

This story follows along with her life, as she meets new people, makes a few friends, falls hopelessly in love with her classmate, gets in trouble, and risks her life.

POEM FORM:
Sweet Sixteen,
Spent in vain,
Looking for crime every day.

Angelic youth,
The only, who sees the truth;
The only angel of the Lord,

Falling in love, feeling demise; heartache,
Feeling hate, physical pain.
They tear the world from her; laughing,
Threatening to twist it and break it; screaming.

Angels are of purity; to make one scream in pain,
To tear her heart, from that, there's no gain.

Men will know no relief, when, by any means,
She will make them burn up in blue flames.

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

Everyone believes in something, Gods, aliens, demons, ghosts... but there are some of us that believes in ANGELS. They think just that the angels just fly, protect you and that's the end of their power, or they are just white-winged, but actually there are three types of angels:white, dark and gray, and their power is beyond what we could have ever thought of. They can control their element, shadow or light, bend it and transform it into weapons, they live and fly in their own parallel dimension, where with their persuasive power they can control you, just if you are not strong enough. The fight between the light and the dark is now balanced just by one first challenge in the starting road of a just born angel, "The challenge of wings", that transforms an ordinary person with the sacred soul within into a gray angel, and from his 16th birthday until the first moon, every good or bad deed he does will change the color of his wings in darker or lighter shades of gray, and in the night with full moon the transformation will be completed. Kieron is an extraordinary boy, the best friend of everybody and Mr. Handsome, and now that he found out he is an angel, all he needs to do is pass the challenge and resist the fate in the tremendous war between light and shadow. Will he be able to do it?
