Little did he expect to face his past and a new threat to the Federation within days of starting the project. Note to readers: This story was written twenty years ago. I revisited it and re-wrote it with a better eye after having published 17 books professionally since then. This is a my love letter to Star Trek that I grew up with. Any similarities to what has come out since then are coincidence. I did not add or change any of the story points or ideas in the re-write. A young Vulcan named Spock searches space for his older brother, Sybok, who has been missing for almost 18 months. After his small ship is damaged he crashes - straight into earth. By some twist of fate he hits the middle of a farm in Iowa owned by young James T. Kirk. Curiosity for Spock overpowers Jim's fear of the Council and as the pair grow closer he begins to recall what his life was like before the tragedy that struck his life so many years before, leaving him completely alone. Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't have to be alone anymore.

He didn't know who I was until they caught me, stealing. They grabbed me, told me I couldn't talk. Then, they dragged me all the way to some sort of jail cell and threw me in it, then they slammed the door and punched in a code that activated a lock. I waited what felt like years till he arrived with a doctor and a guy that looked like an elf. I sat their in the cell, on a bench that was connected to the wall. I stared at the floor until the doctor cleared his throat. I looked up at the doctor. My left eye was swollen and purple. I can't remember anything, all I remember was, I was in this building next to a crystal, passed out, and these men were grabbing me, and they put me In this cell. I couldn't hear what the doctor was saying, my vision was going black, but before I passed out, I saw him standing there. He looked older than me, he had brown hair, and his eyes were so blue! He looked familiar to me. Then it hit me, his name was Kirk, or was it Jim? But all I could get out of my mouth before I passed out was, "help". ⭐️ BOOK 1 OF 2 ⭐️ __________________________________ (This is a mix with Star Trek into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond. Some of the parts are from one of those movies, some are made up by me.) (Some parts from those movies are skipped in this book. Through him, they are afforded opportunities to seize the sword. He is more than a mentor. Pike is an active participant in their journeys. Together the characters are greater than the sum of all parts.

Krall insists that Captain Kirk returns the stolen device that Kirk had taken to restore peace with another race, but Kirk thinks otherwise. He still needed it. Krall takes the whole crew, leaving Kirk, Krystine, Spock, Bones, Chekov, and Scotty stranded and needing to find them and figure out how to get off the planet. Will the six of them be able to do it? Or will Krall get in their way?
