Zuri never knew who her real parents were.

A plane crashed into the jungle and she was found by a group of animals. Chimpanzees

Until the age of 11, she was raised by a troop of chimpanzees. Her mother was Bright Eyes and her Father was Alpha. Zuri grew up speaking their language and basically turned into a chimp. She still maintains her human features and abilities.

Then, she and her mom were captured.

Zuri lost trust in most humans and will get violent with them if they come too close. The only ones she could trust were Franklin, Will, and Ashley. Her mother's death just added to her hate. But, she then met her little brother, Ceasar.

Then, Will and Charles took them in and raised them. Zuri slowly started to trust humans again. She grew stronger and was able to control her power and abilities. Zuri fully trusted humans and was finally happy.

But nothing last forever. She and Ceasar were sent away and wouldn't come home. Mistreated by other humans and apes, she was dragged back into her dark place. But, she then met an orangutan. His name was Maurice, he used to work for the circus.
