Short Story written for an intro creative writing course (April 2022)

Vesta struggles with intrusive thoughts. Following her father's death, Vesta's mother decides the best way to protect her is to isolate her. Desperate for some sense of connection, Vesta runs a blog online.

*** Disclaimer: I am by no means saying this is an accurate portrayal of intrusive thoughts or mental illness. I did little to no research prior to writing. I just found a prompt that I liked and ran with it***
