The world of Elden Ring is one filled with magic, miracles, and demi-gods. The game is set in a place called the Lands Between, where demi-gods rule over different regions in the wake of wars and events that led to the shattering of the titular Elden Ring. The Elden Ring is a conduit of sorts that is at the centre of the power of the Erdtree, which blesses the Lands Between with immortality, as a result.

The world is kept in balance, primarily, by Queen Marika, one of the most powerful immortals, who went on to have a few children, who are classed as demi-gods. Her second husband was a man called Radagon, who was initially with Rennala. There are also some hints in the game that Marika and Radagon are literally halves of the same person, but it's hard to know for certain.

Because of this legacy of immortals and gods, death is highly unusual, let alone the death of one of the great lords. Despite that, the world was turned on its head when a group discovers the key to ending immortality and descends upon the Lands Between to kill Godwyn the Golden, and the body of Ranni the Witch, but not her soul. After this event, the Elden Ring was shattered, seemingly by Radagon, and the world was thrown into chaos.

This is because of multiple things. For starters, some people became unable to see the guiding grace of the Erdtree because of its weakened power. These beings are known as Tarnished (which is you) and are all seemingly linked to the first Elden Lord Godfrey, in some way. This also led to the other demi-gods ending up locked in an endless battle with one another, unable to overcome each other, thus throwing the Lands Between into war, and also leading to it being effectively segmented too.

Because of all of this, and the residual tension that now reigns over the Lands Between, the Tarnished have been called back with the hope of creating a new Elden Lord. That's where you come in, as you are one of those Tarnished.

"Goodbye Curly Head" by NUmaker
40 parts Complete
Through thick and thin the Law shall prevail. A new sense of purpose awaits us, children of light, in the land where it all began. The darkness in which we once cowered in fear, now curbed by the might of our endless light. Come, brothers, come, sisters. Let there be peace among the wicked, just as the Law dictates. Peace and certainty is all that you have ever longed for, little angel. A bright, stable future. A roof without holes above thy head. Acknowledgement and recognition of thy existence, feverish dreams of grandeur. Greed born from yearning, treacherous vines of rapacity taint your innocent soul. You seek a future that does not exist. Let thy fingers hold the fragile line between dream and nightmare. Let thy light navigate the path. Shall thee give in and falter, O' land of old, envelop his body in thy unending flame of chaos. Spit out nothing but an empty husk, the remnants of a smile once so bright. Shall thee prevail, O', Great Kazdel, I ask of you, the impossible - take mercy on the innocent. Don't let the radiance dim and don't let the mind turn bleak. Wake, young traveler. Bid thy farewells and burn thy bridges. It's time to say goodbye, curly head. Cross post from AO3. For a shorter and more on-point description, look no further! I had something silly written up before throwing it out in exchange for that wall of text upstairs. It's a little story "about a young, dumb sankta who's been dealt a bad hand at life, looking for his place in all this mess. The pointless search for a better future leads him far, far away from home, to a country forever ravaged by war and misery - Kazdel, the promised land where devils roam free and peace feels out of place." Anyway, it's quite lengthy, but hopefully enjoyable? Slide a comment if you want, I'll give you a tiny kiss on the forehead. Man, do I love comments. (Lastly, to point out, English is not my native language, but I don't think it'll be much of an issue ;3)

Until finally the entirety of the power itself was snuffed out, rendering the remaining wolf-borne human. Well, all but one. The princess. But there are things about the wolf princess that Elizabeth doesn't know, a wild untamable power seeking to be released just below the surface. Over the last two hundred years, her father has been reclaiming his kingdom, piece by piece. He has gathered allies from all over the world to fight the deadly vampire queen, Ravenna and her family. Tasked with the heavy burden of keeping her pack safe, along with tending to her broken soul, will she ever be the queen her people need her to be? One crazed queen, chasing down her mate. THE EPIC CONQUEST (Eng Ver.) by RusdiAlim
17 parts Complete
EPIC CONQUEST THE NOVEL tells about an event that happened hundreds of years ago there was a crack in the sky. The rift seemed to be a dimensional gate that combined this world with the demonic world. Because of that, thousands of demons have entered the human realm and mercilessly killed anything in their sight. When the Dasyhat war happened, the world made a truce and joined hands to defeat the devil's army. For the first time in history, mankind united under the banner of the Alliance. Even though decades have passed, the war between humans and demons still shows no signs of ending. Although the dimensional gates are no more, their existence seems endless due to rapid reproduction. Because of that too, the hybridization of humans and demons is inevitable. These hybrids look like normal humans but, with demonic blood flowing through their bodies cause them to have extraordinary magical powers. Their behavior is the same as normal humans. However, if their hearts are enveloped in darkness, they will turn into complete demons. Since then, magical powers were born and the royal side of the Alliance saw this group as a threat to humanity and called them witches. In order to overcome the extinction of humanity, the leadership of the Alliance created the order of the Witch Hunt to find and kill every witch no matter what they look like. Due to the order, witches rebelled to protect themselves and their loved ones until a civil war broke out. Due to the war, many lives were lost and many witches were enveloped in darkness and turned into demons. Since that day, the human race has suffered greatly. The Alliance and wizards alike consider them a threat. The hatred and revenge between them still remains to this day. With so many chains of hatred, can all humans be reunited? Can the world once again be free from chaos?
