As the saying goes, "To see is to believe." Amarylis Castellaños doesn't believe in people or things readily in life; she only trusts what she can see. She also thinks that people will believe what they see, so she fosters herself as a perfect, ideal girl who is the kind of daughter her family can be proud of. Lies, trickery, and disguising her personal life are used to get people to trust her.

Similar to her, Florent Leventes portrays himself as having a perfect life because of his wealth, talent, and innate intelligence. But like her, he fabricates occurrences and hides his personal life to trick people. As he doesn't trust people or anything easily.

But fate brought them together, and they ended up caught in an unforeseen situation where their ability to trust what they were seeing would be challenged.
