Being a Versa means being half human and half monster, which means being too monstrous to live as humans but too weak to be considered a full-fledged monster, and if you're Veronica Denn, then you're a rock-lover Versa whose comfort zone is underneath a hoodie. But even trying to avoid attraction doesn't steer troublemakers away from you, and for Veronica, her school problems are caused by Relitia, one of the powerhouses, who's been picking on Veronica after discovering that although Veronica has(gorgeous) wings, she can't fly.
Things take a turn when the youngest prince of the strongest monsters, Acheron, suddenly attends V.I High School, seeming to look for someone. Veronica usually stays quiet and avoids interaction with intimidating and strong monsters, but it seems she can't avoid Acheron, who's taken an interest in her, and even Relitia, whose envy gives her a new interest in keeping Veronica from Acheron.
