Sarita Patel, a second-generation Indian woman, has carved out her space in the hyper-competitive world of Silicon Valley as a venture capitalist. Born to immigrant parents who instilled in her the value of hard work, Sarita has always pursued her ambitions relentlessly. However, her pragmatic attitude and stringent evaluation of startups have earned her the reputation of being 'The Shark of Silicon Valley'. Love is a distraction Sarita cannot afford in her climb to the top.

Enter Vikram Malhotra, a charismatic entrepreneur with a startup aimed at revolutionizing the ed-tech industry. Raised in a multicultural environment, Vikram combines his Indian heritage with a Californian free spirit, resulting in a unique and disruptive outlook on business. His vision, charisma, and, above all, his refusal to conform to corporate norms have led him to clash with Sarita on more than one occasion. Sarita views Vikram's approach as reckless, while Vikram finds Sarita's guarded nature and business methods stifling.

Vikram's startup is in need of funding, and despite their differences, Sarita acknowledges the potential in his idea. She agrees to fund his startup but on the condition that she will have an active role in its management. This decision, initially a source of animosity, leads them to spend more time together, and slowly they start to understand each other's perspectives.
