As someone who has a unfortunate history, (y/n) considered themselves to be a tragic present wrapped neatly in a suit of armor; however when the former red paladin and the General shares stories of the Blade of Marmora, the two are brought together and a bond is formed between the two disconnected souls.
With the help of General (Y/n), Magnar and Thaktel, Keith must find his way back to Voltron and help end the 10,000 year galactic war
[There is a sharp hiss from the door as the partially insulated room releases a cold breeze onto the three of us. I look at my fellow galra, motioning for the tray of food and water and as Magnar places it into my waiting hands I step into the cold room, the great and mighty head of Voltron sitting huddled in a ball in the center of the cell.] - chapter 1
This was originally written in 2018 under the title "My Blade". I believe I have grown as a writer and will attempt to give this story an ending. I am completely aware that Voltron isn't that active of a fandom as it once was but I do hope that people still enjoy the story, that being said I am not rewatching the series for this, so if I get something wrong cannon wise... no I didn't. There are many things I'd like to change about this story based on my personal preference, so expect my oc's Magnar and Thaktel (renamed) to get written out real quick, also there will be no song fic chapter, omg I can't believe 12 year old me wrote that.
Also there isn't going to be any annoying author's notes every second chapter, I can't believe I did that I am so sorry.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
OR
Y/n wakes up in the deadly Squid Game, surrounded by strangers and fighting to survive. What she doesn't know is that the mysterious Frontman is watching her every move through the cameras- and she's caught his attention.
