And they keep fighting as Magnus is too addicted to the magic. Magnus uses magic to make Alec forget they were fighting. But when Alec accidentally finds out Magnus did this he is devastated that Magnus would use his magic against him. This is based on a Willow and Tara storyline from Buffy the Vampire Slayer but unlike the original this has a happy ending.
