Shortly after the end of the US campaign in the Philippines, a man looking for work finds himself in the south with not many other options as his military service is somewhat unfavorable. 

However, a 'sickness' has overtaken the bayou in Louisiana that has been hidden from the public. The work that this former soldier finds may be a bit exotic to say the least.
