The bird cried and took flight, it the only movement in this barren place. It neared a standing form, landing gracefully on one raised arm. The figure wrapped itself tight in a cloak, black as the raven's wing. “This must end.” the figure spoke, its hushed feminine voice seemed to scream on the blood soaked field of death.
