This story takes place 200 years before the events of the First Arc

Everyone lives in their own world, but sometimes two separate worlds may collide

Osprey survived by taking ever good opportunity he stumbled upon, whether it came by surprise or if he was looking for it. After pick pocketing a man in the market, he had taken the opportunity to escape to the dock, where he was able to get aboard the whaling ship, the Winter Rose. One of the officers saw something in him, and he was given the opportunity to become a Rigger. But due to Winter coming, the ship has to said farther south to new hunting grounds. It has high reward, but it is also where the Sea Dragons dwell.

Remora and her family have been keep down by society. Living in a lower class household, Remora and her family have always been good at trying to make ends meet. But the Seawing Queen has raised the monthly quota of pearls that reef tenders like Remora and her family have to collect. But Remora tries to make the best of it. She makes new freinds, one which was unexpected by everyone who saw them. It was a hard time, but Remora learned to try and make the most out of everything.

But the Seawing kingdom would be shaken by something no one had seen in their lifetime. A strange object that skimmed across the water, a grey rose painted on the sails. Whales started disappearing, one after another. Osprey and Remora live in two different worlds, with different perspectives on how things show go. But they don't know that their worlds will soon collide.
