The new orleans are back in town!! While mystic falls was guarded by the salvatore boarding school, school for gifted and specials no mortals know about that. 

It wasn't curse anymore in because oftheir descendants as it was more gift or special ability that they have. 

Elijah, Klaus, Davina, Hayley, Finn, Camille,Lexi, Stefan are dead. And the others aswell, like Enzo, Jeremy, Tyler, Jo, Kai like that.
