Daydream

Crack.
He heard it before he felt it.
The pain was bearable, the consequences? not quite so.
When one crashes, the wound hurts the most.
It was the sound of his dreams breaking that actually kept him up at night.

Slam.
He saw the world go upside down again.
He couldn't keep up, he was so tired already.
They said "Dancing is like dreaming with your feet!"
What if dreams are meant for someone like him to only have in sleep?

Gasp.
He sighs again. The game was coming along well.
He believed that he needed support of none but of his own to fulfill his dreams, but will they ever come true?
It often kept him staring up at the moon.

Claps.
He sits up sweating. Looking at the clock, it's around three again. He's used to it. The nightmares he denied telling about to others were merely dreams that would never come true.
Obviously, sleep long gone.

Four fates, four mates. The strings have intertwined for them a long while ago and yet, they haven't met each other yet.
What exactly is stopping them from reality?
