The woman had her back to you, and you could make out her strong shoulders and trim waist under her pantsuit. She was clad in all black just like you, except that her outfit was tailored meticulously around her tall figure whereas yours hung loosely around your gangly frame.

"I believe they gave you water out in the hall," her velvety voice filled the resonant cavity of her office, "so please lie down."

You immediately spotted the plush, upholstered leather couch on your right hand side, clearly designed to host larger bodies than your 17-year-old self. Before you lay down, you attempted to catch a peek of her face, but she never gave you the satisfaction by turning around.

"I heard a lot about you from your father. Can you tell me in your own words why you're here today?"

"I'm sick in the mind," you said blankly, "and he would like you to cure it."

"What kind of sickness?"

"Of the sapphic variety."

Life, with all it's splendor. Life, with all it's hardness. Life owes us nothing and it takes what is given in the end. These are the hard truth's. What do we do with our truth? Our thoughts? Do we hear them? Do we give them a chance? What if we did? What if we just let go and stopped weighing the cost? What if we chose to accept these thing's about ourselves that we claim no one will? What if, in the end... we gave it all we had? What if all we had was what we were given? Take this road, see where it goes. Who will you meet? Who will you love? Is it all really black and white? Grey, and blue. Two blue eyes stand in front of you and a million shades of what we think are "grey" but is an entire shade completely. Let us see what happens when we lose sight of the shore and we finally explore more than 30% of the ocean. Let us dive. Let us swim. Let us get lost... in blue, beyond. *********************************************** I must put a disclaimer here. This story is purely fiction. It is derived from my imagination only. I respect the Upton family immensely. This was not written as speculation but simply as a fantasy or hypothetical. I hope this does not offend. Also, I would like the reader to be aware that there is smut in this and may have some sensitive content. I do not hold back very much when writing. I give warnings before each chapter but please be aware that this is an adult novel/fic, themes are not suitable for younger audience. Thank you! Please submit feedback. I love hearing from you! XX

[Cate x OC] She was losing herself and didn't know about it. I was lost and aware. When we finally found each other, to be off-course together, we weren't lost at all, suddenly. Two souls, incomplete, were now a whole. --- Basically a fanfic like my previous ones. Dramatic, lil bit of slow burn. However, there is a hint of something shady, but read and find out;) Like and comment<3
