Remnant is a land full of legends and stories. Some are more popularly known such The Story of the Seasons and the legend of the Silver-Warriors. However, there is one legend that has been long forgotten and buried deep in Remnant's history. This is the legend of The Grimm Hunter, a creature of terrible power that was believed to have terrorized Humanity before the four Kingdoms were established and shortly after Humanity discovered Dust. It's been depicted to be an amalgamation of different Grimm with the ability to absorb the life-force of any creature with a soul. Not only did doing so regenerate any dealt wounds, but also allowed it to convert it into dark and destructive energy. Even though The Grimm Hunter was a creature of darkness itself, it also slaughtered Grimm with the same level of ferocity it showed Humanity. However, just as it seemed The Grimm Hunter would eradicate all of Humanity, it vanished without a trace. Not many know what happened to it but the legend speculates that a squadron of Silver-Eyed Warriors defeated it. But, that's not the truth, now is it? DISCLAIMER: I do not own RWBY or any of the pictures you may see in this book. All of them belong to Rooster Teeth and owners respectively. I only own the non-canon characters and changes to the plot and history of RWBY. There will be strong language and gore, so if you're easily offended, I recommend you to not read this book.

The Harbinger ~ The Grimm

94 parts Complete Mature

Lydia Mathis never asked to hear the voices. Never asked to predict death. Never asked to become a Banshee. Running from the chaos and the screaming that haunts her every step, Lydia flees to Portland-searching for peace, for answers, for silence. But instead, she finds Detective Nick Burkhardt. Nick is a Grimm, sworn to keep the balance between humanity and the hidden world of Wesen. He sees Lydia for what she is-something ancient, powerful, and unlike anything he's ever faced. She's not Wesen... but she's not just human either. Despite being in a committed relationship with Juliet, Nick finds himself inexplicably drawn to Lydia. Protective. Curious. Falling. Lydia doesn't understand the world she's stumbled into. Nick can't stay away. And the voices are only getting louder. She's the harbinger of death. He's the hunter of monsters. Together, they might become something more-if the darkness doesn't claim them first.
