Matty wasn't expecting to meet the girl of his dreams that night out. But he did. She may have wanted nothing to do with him, but his natural charm would change that.
This fanfic is about Mr. Matty Healy but I take the softer approach to our lovable rockstar. It takes place pre-fame and has a sweet tone to it with lots of twists and turns. I'm kind of making it up as I go. Let me know what you guys think! :)

"You're insane!" she yelled, slamming the door behind her. I instantly whirled around, clutching two cigarettes and a wine bottle. "You can't go around telling people shit like that!" "Yes, I'm insane! I'm fucking crazy! But everything I do is because of you." I closed the distance between us with just a few steps. Dropping the wine bottle by my feet, which shattered into a million pieces and flooded the white carpet, I placed both of my hands on her cheeks. Fuck. That grey puff of smoke follows him everywhere. The scent of cigarettes sticks everywhere, and it always reminds me of him. But it's not him. I haven't seen him in six years, but a simple puff of smoke on the London streets takes me back to that gas station all those years ago. Ski Masks. Cigarettes. Me. Matty. It all feels like yesterday. Until it all fell apart. I remember the last thing he said to me, "you look so cool". This was before his band got big. Before I went back to school and established my own career, making a name for myself. I smell it before I see him. "I'm still not quite used to these proper radio interviews." He said as he reshuffled the headset over his clean shaven mohawk. "It all... feels so professional." She laughed in response to that, "Well, it's nice to know I'm doing my job right, then!" A sort of different story compared to what I've done in the past.
