(art by @rubinchung) Skadi, a young Viking girl with an unmistakable aura of mystique, possessed an otherworldly beauty that reflected her unique heritage as a human-elf hybrid. As the daughter of the esteemed chieftain of the "Norn's Embrace," a Viking clan known for their unparalleled strength and indomitable spirit, Skadi's destiny seemed to be intertwined with greatness from the very beginning. Growing up in the harsh and unforgiving lands of the Norse, Skadi was surrounded by tales of heroic warriors and epic battles. The tales of Odin, Thor, and Freyja echoed through the clan, fueling her desire for adventure and glory. However, Skadi's restless heart carried an undeniable darkness, an undercurrent of rebellion that set her apart from her peers. Though she possessed an affinity for the natural world, finding solace in the whispering winds and the ancient trees, Skadi's ambitions went beyond the conventional boundaries of her Viking heritage. She yearned for power, not just physical strength, but a power that would allow her to transcend the limitations imposed upon her by society.
