The magical world and the human world are one in the same, and they have been for quite some time. One can easily find themselves sitting next to a centaur on the subway, bumping into an elf at a coffee shop, or getting into a heated debate with a dwarf over mining rights. Magic is so commonplace that many nail salons sport a color changing enchantment for just a $10 extra fee. Tensions between the species have reached an all-time low. Young human warlock, Sorrel Javan, has never been the most skilled at his craft. His magic aptitude is ranked a pitiful 1.7 on a 10 point scale, earning him disdain from other magical beings. He can only do one time of magic: flora. Plants are in his blood, and he has a special talent with anything leafy. So, to fill in the gap of his natural ability, Sorrel takes to alchemy, scrolls, and potion-making to pass his college classes and avoid disappointing his mother. One day, after inheriting a great quantity of a very special ingredient from a dead friend, (and a subsequent experiment with it), Sorrel accidentally stumbles upon the greatest discovery of the modern magical age. Unfortunately, he simultaneously attracts the attention of an ancient evil order that was just beginning its plot to throw the world back into chaos.
