New york's 2018 it girl Cassandra Martel gets dragged out of her perfect upper east side life to a suburban town of Portland in oregon after her mother's untimely and tragic death.

There she meets her high school sweetheart, Hazel Emberlynn Carter and falls for her. The long walks of the somnolent streets of Portland, the late night meals at the Downtown diner, the bicycle races with Hazel. ......all start looking like an illusion after she goes missing!!!

A week later, a dead body,so harshly mutilated and barely identifiable was found at the basement of the Downtown diner.
