Under the Dirt You Stand on

I wrote this after an ex-girlfriend texted me to apologize for being cold during our breakup. This is an expression of the inner turmoil I felt when dealing with that breakup. I worked pretty hard on this but I am still a novice in my writing. There is too much going on and most of the descriptions are too metaphorical but I'm proud of my ability to express my feelings.
