No one likes it when an aggravating rumor about them circulates around town.
Petra was beginning to believe that she was chosen by the universe to become society's reject as she had faced betrayal after betrayal in each of Endercon's friendship huddles. Over time, ejection from each group led to a buildup of unkind words spoken behind her back, haughty glares and worst of all, leaked posters that people actually put effort into!
But just as she was about to surrender all her hope for a normal, unobtrusive life, her path collides with the Ocelots, the most adored band of winners led by the charming Lukas, who gladly accepts her into their squad. They will be her final straw: the annual building competition she'll actually get to take part in this year would prove it.
Only time will tell whether she'll make it as an excellent swordfighter with the support of true friends or if they're just another one of those backstabbing bunch ready to dismiss her into permanent solitude just like that.
