Levitating Loneliness

Levitating Loneliness is a flash fiction story about a teenage boy named Jacob who can control rocks and pebbles with his mind. After the death of his parents, Jacob lives a lonely life in a group home where he feels invisible. But as dusk falls one evening, he discovers his unique ability to levitate rocks. He sends the rocks floating into the night sky as a call out to others who, like him, feel alone. Another boy materializes from the swarm of flying rocks and invites Jacob on an adventure. Their unconventional friendship, born from Jacob's ability to lift his loneliness, takes flight as the two boys soar into the night sky together. Levitating Loneliness explores the themes of overcoming isolation, the power of human connection, and the way our most unusual gifts can transform our lives in profound ways.
