Jennie Thomas is a completely normal fourteen year old girl attending a fancy private school who lives in London. Or she thinks she's normal...

Jennie has oneirataxia, which is the inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality, but she doesn't realise it. One day, Jennie loses control of her actions, and she accidentally causes harm to several students while in one of her hallucinations. Jennie flees the school in fear of hurting others, onto the streets, only to meet Andrew, a stranger from a rich family her own age from her school. Andrew wants to help Jennie, but she is scared she'll end up hurting him like she did in the past to others. One tragic night when she returns to her family, a terrible incident occurs, and Jennie feels as if it's all her fault. How will her friends and relatives convince her she is beautiful and unique in her own way?
