In fact, they had never expected to need anyone else. Hogwarts changed that. School proved that family isn't just about the blood that runs in your veins, you can choose. It was the Weasley's that became their family when they had none. For that, they are forever grateful. Being surrounded by familiar faces that they cared so deeply about changed their perspectives.
