Where on earth are we? Where did the VOHLE jump take us? Here we are, united by a single thought. Following a failed VOHLE jump in space aimed at rapid travel, we have been transported to an unfamiliar and unexplored location. It's a completely new planet, signaling a fresh chapter for us. The leads that were supposed to guide us to the next habitable planet similar to Earth have all gone cold, leaving us to blindly search for it without any guidance. We find ourselves on this new planet, and I hope it will be the suitable habitat we seek. Considering our advanced technology, what could possibly go wrong?
Three years after the events of Changed, and the subsequent events of Changed: Outbreak, Colin and Puro engaged in a tranquil stargazing session one night. They were utilizing a recently invented telescope by Doctor K when their attention was drawn to a flickering star in the sky. Upon closer examination, they realized that the blinking celestial body was, in fact, a spacecraft. Understanding the significance of their find, Colin and Puro promptly informed Doctor K, who became instantly intrigued by the presence of the space ship and the enigmatic secrets it potentially harbored. Determined to uncover the reasons behind its presence, Doctor K delved into investigating its purpose.

Astral Legacy Book 1
Kale had been out taking his dog out for a final bathroom break before heading to bed when he saw it. A ball of light flashed brightly in the sky followed by a crashing sound only seconds later. It hadn't hit too far from his grandmother's house he was looking after for the weeks coming. He had taken the dog back inside and grabbed a hoodie from the coat rack. It wasn't strange for him to take late night walks when he was visiting. He headed toward where he was sure he'd find the meteor thinking it'd make a pretty cool decoration for his coffee table. As he walked toward it he couldn't help but notice how quiet the night had gotten. There wasn't even the usual crickets or frogs chirping. That was when he heard it. A guttural cry of something nearby, he wasn't sure if it was an animal at first but by the end of the sound, he was sure it was a man. He hurried his pace regretting having left his cell phone on the counter by the door. Hoping he wasn't going to find someone seriously injured or even dead. A current original work in progress an adventure inspired by Mass Effect and Star Trek (which will become more evident in later chapters) started out as a Black Panther fan fiction in the early stages but evolved into my own story before I started writing. Abriel Brighton exists solely to give birth to genetically perfect children-a role she has no interest in fulfilling. Created by the scientists who originally settled on and colonized a dead planet with the intention of terraforming it, she belongs to a breed of genetically altered humans designed to safe-guard humanity's DNA. Living in a protected underground society called Urbine's Crescent, she and others like her are to be retrieved once the surface is ready for habitation. However, they've been waiting a long time. Long enough that the idea of the surface world has faded into legend. When Abriel's father is murdered, she finds herself thrust into a conflict where all motives are suspect. As a scout and pair-bonded with a telepathic dog-like animal that's native to the planet, she struggles to determine the responsible party. Instead, violence escalates to the point where law becomes meaningless and she's stripped of all power. Worse, Abriel discovers the Crescent leadership is systematically destroying the only home she's ever known and her enemies are probably her only allies. When a stranger named Porter arrives, claiming to be from the surface and delivering the message that the planet is terraformed and ready to support human life, she has no choice but to believe him. Without his help, the Crescent won't survive. But with it, they just might be able to remake their entire world.Complete

In a small, Positivist-controlled city, Gireiah Copeigh of Yun, a renowned astronomer and theoretician, witnesses a revelled and worshipped event of deep antiquity: a Vanishing. Of the twelve stars visible on the celestial sphere, eleven remain. Following the event, a strange yet deliberate phenomenon splayed across the sky--mysterious astronomical activities with perhaps principally scientific interpretations, or perhaps the chiseled, fleeting abstractions of gods... In this distant space and time, Gireiah sets out to find an old reclusive friend, an aid to help uncover the truth about the world's newly molested skies, as well as the purpose and mechanism responsible for the Vanishings themselves. The paths of others like himself cross, and in these trekkings, an awful truth of their universe is revealed. This is Exodus Nebula, a novella of about 55,000 words, or twenty-four chapters. The mannerism and syntax of the writing can be a bit... dense. You'll have to excuse me for that. This was never supposed to be a serious attempt at a completed story, yet here it is. At about halfway through, I decided I didn't like the mannerisms at all and that it would be better off as a story entirely rewritten. Instead, I kept up with it anyway and made amends nearer the end. It was a mistake now learnt. If you choose to read past, oh, chapter five, where the story begins to pick up momentum in my opinion, I hope you enjoy. I've included a lot of themes I find intriguing and attempted to make the world wholly open for the reader's interpretation--which was the intent of this project, more or less: a practice of worldbuilding. No one knows exactly how they were able to make such a infection, but it was capable of destroying nearly all life on Earth. Those who couldn't hide or make it to the ships to escape their home planet, were left for the Irinauts. These alien lifeforms were capable of controlling human bodies, infecting them with their black dust, impregnating fertile human female's, and growing the Irinaut's massive companions, the Yeti's, a less evolved version of the Irinaut. Earth is gone. Nothing more then a ball of dust. After the people fled on ships, they traveled to their new hope. It was a place of solitude. The human race was able to flee from the foreign infection, but for how long? Luna was frozen on the ship. For nearly a 200 years, their ship had traveled. Many people had been placed in a cryogenic state. That of which kept them from aging as they made their way out of the infection. For them, a place of safety, The Solar Sun. The Solar Sun space ship was the closest landing unit in the solar system. Many others would have to be traveled to after refueling and preparing for another two or three centuries of being in a cryogenic state. For Luna, the girl hopes that space would be her escape from the aliens that destroyed their Earth, but that was only the beginning. Upon arrival, the ship is found infested. Luna and a small team of scientists had come in hopes for finding a cure for the strange virus, only to find the virus had taken over most of The Solar Sun, following a few escaped Irinauts. The Solar Sun is their last hope, and their last escape from these beings, but what's to be found there will change everything.Complete

Identity crisis? What's that? ---- An earthling's soul was born into an incompatible, human body. Their muscles misbehaved, their skin and body felt like a rigid shell, and their weak constitution left little options for any activities outside of paperwork, books and anything on a screen at home. Then the divine beings tried to correct the mistake and removed the mismatched soul from its unfitting body, slinging it to a distant world with a new body to control. The human flesh-prison replaced with the unlimited options of a shapeshifter, the soul has now a magic-filled world to explore. Grow fur for a mountain hike, grow gills and fins for a deep dive. It's time to catch up on decades worth of missed travels and activities. But who wants to deal with the flesh-craving predators called shapeshifters? Another global purge could start, if the freshly transferred soul shows its abilities too much. ---- The rankings are a mystery to me - especially after this story made it to No. 1 under the shapeshifter tag (and others).
