So I got this idea after reading the fifth wave of a storyline that is different from that of the book and I think it's really interesting so here I go. 
(P.S. a lot is based off the book but im changing it to a different story)

1st Wave: lights out
2nd Wave: surfs up
3rd Wave: pestilence 
4th Wave: silencers
5th Wave: //?//

It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.

None of them are prepared for the wars they'll fight through, or even the truth. This is the first book I ever ever wrote, so it's a little rough. Consider it non-canon. This takes place well after the Silent Veil, at the end of ACT 1 for the overarching plot.
