Lightweight

My breath caught in my throat as his deep blue eyes locked with mine. My heart beat increased rapidly while I panicked. No, this couldn’t be happening. I promised myself I wouldn’t let it but it did. I allowed myself to love and that’s something I’m horrible at.

Dakota the wide eyed girl who fell in love to easily, never actually believed that one day she’d find the right one. She had a big heart and a personality to match it. She was easily taken advantage of and was known as the rebound girl. She was beautiful, it wasn’t hard to notice, but she was very sensitive. One wrong word would rip her to pieces.

Jase, the stubborn boy who had girls falling at his feet, never believed that through all of the wrong girls he could find Ms. Right. If you would’ve told him that he’d meet the girl of his dreams he’d probably laugh at you right now. He was never a so called ‘player’ only a boy. With his brown hair and unique style he was known as the ‘popular’ boy.

Neither of them knew that one small talk under the bleachers would change their fates for ever.
