If Only

Have you ever looked at your life and wondered " If only I had this..." "If only I had that..." Just for reality to hit you square right in the face and show you can't always get what you.

If only you could get that perfect life..
That perfect grade in all your subjects..
That perfect girlfriend or boyfriend..
That perfect love life..
That perfect face, body, smile..
Those perfect parents...

If only my parents would look at me and think, "She's more than enough, she's just perfect"
If only that guy would look at me and say, "Be mine?" and mean everything he tells me

But that's what our imagination's for.
To make us live a lie we've created in our minds and hope that it becomes true one day.

Not knowing that everyone has it tough out there
Life isn't fair. Never was. Never will be.
