Once a lady. Now a disgrace. A disowned daughter. Lost.
She doesn't fit in anywhere.
Ammolite was the daughter of a Duke. Like all other young ladies, she was to be married off to other members of gentry -- it was what was expected, after all. But that didn't work out, and now she's lost her sisters...in a land plagued by some distant foreign war, it seems only she is being targeted -- but what is it that makes her different? Why is she the one being picked out?

Who is she?

***INCOMPLETE -- This is an unfinished novel of around 20 chapters I wrote a few years ago, when I was 11~12. I was tempted to try and fix it recently, but it gave me a permanent writer's block whenever I looked at it so I gave up. I still thought it was a pity to throw off though, so I've decided to post it to see if any of you like it. I might continue this...but probably not...ideas and suggestions are welcome if you really want to see updates***

There are many millions of parallels. Worlds living and breathing at the same time - time doesn't even exist, 18th century England is living and breathing alongside the present day. While London is living in the past, Afalon is pushing toward it's future. 7 sons, a rare and lucky amount, are Princes in line to the throne. Melanie is in the 18th century, conning each village out of their wares in exchange to see but an inch into their future. Then, after an unlucky exchange, she's dragged into the floating court-city of Afalon in the Æther - another world entirely - to stand trial for someone else crimes. Trial by fire. Trial without end. Ameline has been busy pillaging and murdering her way through Afalon for months, making the ælfin pay for what they did to her family. Then, on a whim, she decides to go big or go home. She kills one of the Seven Princes. Those same princes who embody the attributes of each deadly sin... Now, another girl is brought from her homeworld, Earth, to stand trial for Ameline's own crimes. Worse still... she recognizes her face so, so much. It's her own. A doppelgänger. A modern twist on terrible childhoods and anti-heros. Melanie and Ameline's story is a page-turner you certainly need to start, but with such tragedy and twisting themes of joy and horror you'll want to finish. Next chapter: never because no one wants me to 😀 11/04/21 ARE PEOPLE READING THIS I CANT TELL WHY IS IT RANKED SO HIGH??? SHOULD I FINISH HER Last update: - Word count: 100,000. Taking a wrong turn through the Lost Miracle Cave isn't exactly how Amma expects to spend her family reunion, but when her life is threatened by a cave-elf ritual, she must use all the strength her magic (and mind) has to offer. Another tale set in the same fantasy world, this time focusing on Auntie Bathilde and the struggles of her family. This story has been edited slightly, especially near the end. I can't believe I actually submitted it somewhere. They didn't tell me it was bad, but looking back, I cringed. Nevertheless, it was how the backstory came to me. I regret sending it so short, but the website made it sound like they were looking for stories under a certain word count. However, for what it is, I think it still worked out. NOTE: This is set after Bathilde was in the Neo-Jotun Kingdom and French Resistance, but her memories are focused more on family, as that's who reunited with her. I may or may not write a short story about her time in these places.
