After their messy breakup Vanessa Torres and Miguel O'hara have been on less than speaking terms. Vanessa's departure from the Spider-Society leaving a stinging hole in the heart of the expansive group as their leader becomes colder and harsher than ever thought possible.

A year goes by before O'hara decides it's time to bring Vanessa back to work, but things won't snap back to the way they were. A year can do a lot to a person. She's no longer the warm and fuzzy Arachne she once was. And it's going to take a lot to coax it back out of her.
