Suicide seems perfect for the depressed, until the afterlife exists. The spirit of a young man from 1600's England wanders the globe, exploring without purpose. Until he meets Beatrice Brown, a perfectly alive young woman living on an estate in the early years of America. This young man is entirely obsessed with Beatrice, Beatrice however does not appreciate a haunted house. How can a spirit confess his love, without a voice to do so?
Bernard stumbles upon an old house and a warm welcome, yet not is all that it seems. With ghosts and music in old Louisiana, this short story touches on grief and the process of moving forward in an unknown world and how love can mean more than a romantic gesture.
