With an overbearing mother and a scheming brother breathing down his neck, new Alpha Elijah is desperate to find a mate and solidify his leadership in the wake of the death of his father. The only problem is his soulmate is a good natured human boy from a nearby town being raised by an overprotective priest who has no idea about the existence of werewolves or the supernatural. When Elijah comes to sleepy Belford Bay it's trouble and suspicion from the moment he arrives. Nobody trusts him, well nobody but Christopher Glover who trusts all too easily. Before Kit met Elijah he was lonely and lost, but Elijah seems to see him, to know him, to really care which is all Kit wants. Just as the pair seem to fall for each other it seems as if an entire army rises from the woodwork intent on keeping the two apart and keeping Kit firmly in Belford, and Elijah out of pack leadership. Still the attraction between the two grows and the question becomes whether Elijah is truly leading Kit astray, or if Kit himself wants to leave.

"Are we mates, then?" Fenn found himself asking. Atlas nodded. Fenn looked away again. He wasn't sure what to think of that. That nagging feeling deep inside him warned him that the Alpha might be lying. With his wolf gone, he was vulnerable. If the Alpha had figured out he was an Omega, pretending to be his mate would be an excellent way to trick him into bearing a child. "I know you're probably not ready for all that entails," Atlas said with a sigh. "We can take things slow. Even pause it entirely if you need time to just heal. Just say the word." ^°^°^°^ After escaping the cruel confines of his captors, Fenn stumbles across a pack that could change his life forever. However, his past has taught him that some secrets are safer kept secret, and that no one should be trusted. Will he be able to open himself up or will he be crushed by the weight of his trauma? There was only one thing Fenn knew for certain: he had to catch those responsible for his years of torment before they could catch him again. Started: 6/5/24
