Genesis is the first book of the Bible and the Torah. It tells the story of God's creation of the world and his covenant with the ancestors of Israel. God creates the world in six days and calls it good. He chooses Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants to be his people and promises them a land and a blessing for the world.
