مشاوره ژنتیک چیست؟
امروزه در حوزه سلامت عبارت مشاوره ژنتیک بسیار مطرح می باشد و این سوال در ذهن عموم پیش می آید که اهمیت مشاوره ژنتیک چیست. سوال  مهم تر این است که چه کسانی و در چه زمانی باید از آن استفاده کنند. برای جواب به این سوال ها ابتدا لازم است که یک آمار حدودی از ناهجاری ها و بیماری های ژنتیکی بدانیم. با ما همراه باشید.

اهمیت مشاوره ژنتیک 
امروزه اهمیت علم ژنتیک به عنوان قلب تبنده دانش پزشکی در بهداشت، درمان، سلامتی و رفاه جامعه بشری بر صاحب نظران پوشیده نیست. ژنتیک انسانی علم بررسی قوانین حاکم بر توارث خصوصیات و ویژگی انسان ها است. ژنتیک پزشکی رشته ای است که به کاربرد این اصول و قواعد پزشکی در تشخیص، پیشگیری و درمان بیماری ها می پردازد. مشاوره ژنتیک فرآیند مشاوره، آموزش و توجیه افراد و خانواده‌های مبتلا یا در معرض ابتلا به اختلالات ڗنتیکی و آماده‌سازی جسمی و روانی آن‌ها توسط مشاور ژنتیک است. این فرایند توسط متخصصین ژنتیک پزشکی انجام می‌گیرد.
در 40 تا 50 درصد همه سقط های خود به خودی سه ماهه اول بارداری، یک ناهنجاری کروموزومی وجود دارد. حداقل 10 درصد تمام بارداری ها از لحاظ کوروموزومی غیر طبیعی می باشند که باید توجه داشت این درصد مربوط به حاملگی های شناخته شده است. از تمام نوزادان 3 درصد دارایTous Droits Réservés
