James always knew that his son was special. The day he got to hold him for the first time he could sense how powerful his son would become. James knew then and there that he would protect his son no matter what. Even if that means he has to die to do so. 

What if James was the one to do a ritual to protect Harry that night? How would one change effect the future for little Harry? Would he come out the way we see him in the books and movies? Or will he be different? More cunning and intelligent. Follow Harry as he learns how to survive the world he was placed in, and how he's learned to adapt. 

In this story Harry will have Eidetic memory and will be a seer. The first chapter will mostly be in James' POV then it moves on to Harry's.
