Sarina is a girl who hasn't had the best childhood, but isn't looking to live in the past.  The way she grew up causes her relationships to be rocky - especially after one ex-boyfriend who sexually abused her for six months.  Even though she's in one of the most vulnerable positions of her life, when a new boy comes to school her vulnerability doesn't keep her from developing a small crush on him.

Nathan is a boy who can have any girl he wants with the snap of his fingers.  He moves and changes schools in the beginning of the year, meeting a new girl that he finds beautiful.  There's something different about her though; she's not like all of the other girls that throw themselves at him.  And even though she doesn't seem the slightest bit interested in him, he's determined to get close to her.
