Layla is a recent college grad struggling to find a place in her hometown. With a sick dad, dead mom, and 'absent' grandmother she struggles to make ends meet. After being dealt a bad hand at her most recent place of employment, she feels utterly lost. After a chance meeting with Sarah, an almost unearthly girl she find a second chance. This second chance might not be as promising as Layla hoped. Her life is flipped upside down when she finds out all of her family secrets and reason for their hereditary insanity. Layla feels completely lost while navigating a brand new world, but she always has her new boss, Preston, to lean on. Preston might just be the key to figuring out exactly who she is. . . or he could be her downfall.
