It began with a dram of whiskey, rumored to be cursed, which took the life of a Scottish Highland heir in the 18th century on the day of his wedding- a curse that brought great tragedy to the MacLeod clan.

In modern-day Scotland, a single vial still exists.  Eager to make a name for herself at a popular tourism magazine, Emma Webster accepts a dare from James Duncan, a dashing bartender, to take “just a sip” of the artifact.  Her growing trust and affection for this stranger blinds Emma, as she brazenly agrees to taste the cursed whiskey.  Before she knows it, Emma is sent spiraling back in time, finding herself just days before the fated  MacLeod wedding. 

Suddenly cast into the lands of the MacLeod clan, Emma must find her place in their world and learn who cursed the dram in the first place and why.  With the MacLeods in danger, Emma has only a few days to befriend the Laird and his family, before the MacLeod clan is met with the tragedy that she learned about hundreds of years in the future.

But Emma isn't alone.   As she begins to unravel bartender James' role in both her past and future Emma begins to question whether their meeting was chance... or destiny? And whether their budding relationship might be just the luck she needs to solve the mystery.
