Friends since childhood, Gabriella has long held back her feelings where Boromir is concerned, as she did not want to risk losing his friendship if he didn't feel the same. But, then he is summoned to Rivendell, and the night before he is to leave, he stuns Gabriella by confessing his feelings for her as well.
But, war is coming and he cannot put off what he knows must be done. All Gabriella can do is wait for him and pray for his safe return.
