Life isn't easy living on the edge of a vampire infested forest. Then there's the little issue of being able to produce the only gems in the world that are known to kill any creature, even vampires. Vampires killed the rest of her family and seem happy to finish the job, Gem Lords want to manipulate her for the stones. Her life is spiraling and she can't tell if it'll ever get better, she can't even tell if anyone from her world even cares about her, not her ability. There are those from another world who seems to care, but how long will that last? Crystal can't see the future and after the life she's had, she's not sure she'd want to.
