Follow the brave story of two girls and their great escape from Soviet Ukraine during the Holodomor. But first, they must survive the soldiers at their doorsteps and the hunger that strikes harsher and harsher. Yuchemka, a courageous and strong-willed girl leads the escape as she and Anna, her neighbour, flee to Poland by car, train and on foot. See as they experience love, loss, and grief.
