Hazel's life takes an unexpected turn when a beach vacation meant to heal the wounds of her recent divorce becomes a reunion with her ex-husband, Forrest. As a newly divorced woman at 24, Hazel arrives at a quaint Air B&B only to discover it's been double-booked-by none other than Forrest, her ex-husband, with whom she shares a last name.

With hotels fully booked due to the 4th of July weekend, Hazel faces a choice: abandon her therapeutic getaway or reluctantly stay under the same roof as Forrest. Forrest, a helicopter mechanic in the army, had dealt a devastating blow to their marriage by deploying during Hazel's deep depression following a miscarriage. His absence during her darkest hour left scars that led to their eventual divorce.

Despite the painful history, as Hazel and Forrest navigate the unexpected situation, old emotions resurface.
