" I knew it was crazy "why did I do that?" The sirens were loud all around me something told me to keep running so I did. No one was on the streets it was past curfew I could feel sweat running down my face as i pant. We are not fed properly to be able to run this much and yet I'm still running. Behind me I can hear men shouting but they're far behind I don't dare look back if I can get to the outer skirts of the city I can reach the new rock building. Seconds feel like minutes and minutes feel like hours I've run past the buildings that all look the same and it feels like I'm in a trance the only thing that lets me know I've gotten any where is when the buildings change And I know I'm in a different section. They won't know where I'm going. And with this space in between us I can lose them. But my chest begins to ache my lungs are failing me. "I can do this" I tell myself as the fire in me burst once more in excitement. The sirens are distant and for some reason I think these men don't go past this section of the city."
