Holo was never a normal girl and her past haunts her every waking day. Holo's friend, Ryoko isn't done grieving for their best friends, Fremi and Chloe. Holo agrees to go to the Hunter Exam only to protect Ryoko. Ryoko meets some new friends and introduces them to Holo. Holo pushes them away and they don't understand why. In the exam, Killua finds out why Holo keeps her hood on her head all the time.
Would Holo accept Ryoko's new friends or will she keep her distance from everyone around her? Would she go back home to the place that gives her nightmares? Will she fall in love with someone or is it just a silly crush?

Heat advisories take over Gon's home, YorkNew City, as he and his friends arrive for another week in hell, or in other words... school. Things don't turn out the way they planned, though. Students have gone rabid, and the school becomes a warzone. It doesn't take long for Gon and his friends to find themselves trapped amongst other students, none of whom trust each other. One of those students happen to be a long lost friend of his, and Gon isn't quite sure if he'd rather fight off zombies or face his true feelings. And in a sense... Killua feels the same way.
