Randall's scowl deepened. "It seems we differ in our understanding of what constitutes cruelty to God's creatures. I have no desire to subjugate nature through force when harmony can be cultivated through ethical practices. Our goal is to empower mankind through merit, not shows of dominance."
Shaw's smile tightened slightly at the rebuke. "You paint me as some brutal slavedriver. Where does your morality stand with the hadrosaurs that pull our carriages? The Centrosaurus' ploughing your fields without pay or vacation, helpless before any whip or spur? Even the natives have already made use of Pachies (Pachycephalosaurus) to safeguard their land. A few scars mean little to creatures that dedicate their lives to man's service. These dinosaurs depend utterly on humans for survival. We could shoot them all and make this a man's world when we wanted. Oh, that's right! We did."

WRITTEN IN 2012!! Through loss, grief, new enemies, new friends and a whole new adventure, he had become a constant. The first time introduced her to him, the second may open her eyes to what's worth fighting-and surviving-for. Travels to Sorna, beyond and back Billy/OC Yes this fic is old, yes my writing is vastly different, no I don't plan on editing it. It was a lot of fun doing this and as one of the very few fanfics I ever finished, I'm still proud of it, despite cringing at the writing now. However, I think it's important for writers to not dispose of their old stuff. How will we know how far we've come if we have nothing to compare to? I learned a ton writing this, maybe some of you will pick up something, or even just have some entertainment. I put a lot of work into the second half of this fic (which picks up after Chapter 9), and a lot of research into actual dinosaurs to ensure the most accuracy possible.Complete

They'll hurt and torture you, so promise me you'll stay away from them." My mother told me. I never thought much of it, but it always made me curious what was there. - Scott gasped as he realized he was late. This was his big day, he couldn't fail his parents by skipping. Scott ran towards the forest and banged into the wooden shed, grabbing the bow and satchel of arrows before dashing out to his post. The forest floor crunched beneath him and he panted quietly as he kneeled down. A twig snapped and Scott gasped as he saw bears and lions surround him. Scott shot at them and the arrow hit one of the lions, which all started to chase him. Scott screamed for help as he ran, trying to get out. Trying to find others who could actually save and protect him. ~•~ Scott is a hunter, who is actually a big scaredy cat and longs for a life different than the one he has, and Jimmy is a free bird who can do basically anything he wants. It all changes when Scott and Jimmy meet. Hybrids end up showing up more, some getting captured and hurt.
