Star Wars: Cold War takes place in 9 ABY. Mandalorian Din Djarin and Grogu join High Magistrate Greef Karga and New Republic Marshall Cara Dune to infiltrate an Imperial base near Nevarro on behalf of New Republic pilot Carson Teva. Unbeknownst to them, the base is controlled by an unexpected enemy who is continuing the cloning operation done by Moff Gideon in an attempt to overthrow the New Republic. Fearing that Moff Gideon's death would  jeopardize his plans for galactic conquest, this mysterious adversary has tasked Elia Kane and members of the Centrist Party within the New Republic senate to report any valuable information that he could use to his advantage.
