One day, Madira got a call from her mom that her dad had up and left the family. Leaving nothing behind but a note saying he, "Couldn't do it anymore", no one knew what really happened. On winter break from college, her mom had the idea that the family should go on a 'getaway' to a winter cottage her parents had bought over the summer.
