The world is a cold place, little Anastasia knows it well. She attempts to change herself, however, she realizes soon quickly that her attempts are in vain for even with her changes, life does not get better at all for her.
She learns a lesson regarding her feelings from her druggie of a mother, revolving around the strange analogy of a sponge.
